Mrs. Dorothy Marie Savage McHugh, 77 of Silver Spring, MD, (formerly of Germantown) went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, August 18, 2008. She was the wife of Paul McHugh.
Born February 6, 1931 in Boyds, MD, she was the daughter of the late
William and Nellie Poole Burdette.
Before her retirement, Mrs. McHugh worked many years for the Blind Industries, running a blind stand at National Bureau of Standards and then at the Atomic Energy Commission.
She is survived by her daughter Glenda Chauncey and husband Richard of Silver Spring, and son David Savage and wife Jane of Thurmont, four grandchildren, Brian James and wife Denise of Cedar Park, Texas, Kevin James of Silver Spring, Jessica Robertson and husband Sean and Jason Savage and wife Amanda all of Thurmont., eight great- grandchildren, three sisters Barbara Hefner and husband George of Gaithersburg, Eleanor Frank of Baltimore and Doris Carter and husband Roy of Gaithersburg. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by a son Marshall Joe Savage, Jr., her brothers and sisters William Burdette, Jr, James Burdette, Melvin Burdette and Joyce Peggy David.

Services: Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Boyds Presbyterian Church, 19901 White Ground Road, Boyds, MD. Interment in the church cemetery.
