Dorothy L. {Young} Snoots

Mrs. Dorothy L. ( Young ) Snoots, 93, of Thurmont, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of Aubrey Snoots who preceded her in death in
March of 2009.
Born on May 27th, 1916, she was a daughter of the late; Raymond and Nora ( Fogle ) Young. Mrs. Snoots was a long time member of Graceham Moravian Church.
In her younger years he was a seamstress for local clothing companies and later served in private nursing. She enjoyed her home and tending her flower garden.
She was a member of the Frederick Democratic Club, Frederick Moose Lodge,Ladies auxiliary of Thurmont American Legion, Thurmont AMVETS and Emmitsburg VFW.
Surviving are two sons; Kenneth Snoots and wife Joyce of Rockville, James Snoots and wife Joanne, six grandchildren; Ken Jr., Michael, Kevin, Karen, Aimee and Max, twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen Timberlake, a grandchild Darren, two sisters; Lillian Young, Laura West and three brothers; Merton, Paul and William Young.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, on Thursday, June 18th, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with her pastor Rev. Jeff Gehris officiating. Interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
