Dorothy Irene (Wisnom) Kuhrmann, 85, of New Market, MD died at her home on January 23, 2009.

Born June 6, 1923 in Glen Arm, MD, Dottie was the daughter of the late Raymond Wisnom and Irene Kavanaugh.

Through her life Dottie had many occupations, from bank teller to landscaper to builder. She was a retired school bus driver with the Frederick County Public School System. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, sailing, horseback riding, and painting. She loved spending time with her friends and family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Dottie is survived by two daughters, a son, three grandaughters, and a great-grandaughter: Marcia Ann and Peter Davis of Severn, MD; Sharon Dru and Bob Wilt of Osh Kosh, WI; Natalie Ann and Bailey Ann Hert of Appleton, WI; and William C. (Buddy) Jr., Maria, Amy Elizabeth, and Suzanne Elizabeth Kuhrmann of Mount Airy, MD. She is predeceased by a great-grandson Chase Joseph Hert. She is also survived by a sister Thelma Esserwein of Baltimore, MD and predeceased by a brother Stanley Wisnom.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Dottie's church, New Market United Methodist Church at the intersection of Route 874 and North Alley in New Market. A reception will follow but interment will be private.

Flowers are always welcome and appreciated, or memorial contributions can be made in her name to the New Market United Methodist Church.
