Dorothy Elvera Alcox

Mrs. Dorothy Elvera Alcox, 84 of Frederick, MD., passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Warren Alcox, to whom she was married for 48 years.
Born May 6, 1923 in Bertha, Minnesota, oldest daughter of the late Elvera and Leonard Bluhm.
As the wife of a Public Health Service Dentist, she made a home for her family in several states across the United States. Dorothy generously volunteered her time to many church and community organizations. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, golf, sewing and her home on the lake in Northern Minnesota.
Her strength and spirit were always an inspiration to her family.
She is survived by three daughters; Kathy Olsen of Walkersville, MD, Susan Deschenes of Colchester, CT and Patricia Friedrich of Middletown, MD, six grandchildren; Eric and David Olsen, Meghan Roche, Kate, Matthew and Christopher McCall, her brother Donald Bluhm of Alexandria, MN and her sister Phyllis Macholtz of Montrose, CO.
