Dorothy "Dottie" Strausbaugh
August 7, 1924 — April 25, 2018
Dorothy (“Dottie”) Strausbaugh, age 93, died peacefully on April 25, 2018 at the Lorien Assisted Living community in Mt. Airy, MD.
Dottie was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William (“Bill”) Strausbaugh, Jr. and her sister Mary Jones.
Dottie enjoyed taking a daily walk, golfing and her get-away time in Ocean City. She also was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver and devoted fan of Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy. She was a devout Catholic who went to mass daily and generously donated to community members in need. Dottie had a lighthearted spirit expressed by her love of dancing and joke telling.
She is survived by her six children, Lucy Strausbaugh of Middleriver, MD, Bro. Stephen Strausbaugh, CFX and Matthew Strausbaugh of Baltimore, Timothy Strausbaugh of Taylorsville, MD and Theresa and Joan Strausbaugh of Mt. Airy, MD, together with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
