Dorothy {Dot} A. Brewer

Dorothy (Dot) A. Brewer, 79 of Rockville, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the NMS Nursing Home in Hagerstown. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Brewer, Sr.

Born April 24, 1929 in Saltville, VA she was the daughter of the late John T. Littrell and Elva Prater Littrell.

Dorothy retired from Weinschel Engineering in Gaithersburg where she was a Electronic Assembler. She worked there for 30 plus years.

She enjoyed Bingo, dancing, fishing, playing cards and scratch off tickets.

She is survived by a son, Charles Chick Brewer and a daughter, Charlotte Sissy Brewer, four siblings, Martha Patsy Geisbert, Mary Ann McCracken, Tommy Littrell and Phyllis Lowe, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a son, Walter C. Brewer, Jr., a sister, Nell Littrell Day and two brothers, Grover Buddy Littrell and Johnny Lee Littrell.

The family wishes to express there gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown during a difficult time to the Hospice of Washington County.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, November 2, from 3:00-6:00 PM.

Services: Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Thomas Fralin officiating.
Interment will be in Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville.
