Mrs. Dorothy "Maxine" Losee, 74, of Frederick, MD passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Kline Hospice House.
Born January 14, 1938 in Elk Creek, VA she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice Sexton.
Mrs. Losee was a graduate of West Virginia State, Magna Cum Laude receiving her degree in English. In Maxine's free time she enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her dog Babe.
She is survived by her son Ken Blake and Dorothy of Walkersville ; grandchildren Patrick James Blake, Ian Thomas Blake and Joseph Bruce Smith, Jr.; brother George R. Sexton of New Market and sisters Shirley Hildebrand of New Market and Nancy Lidie of Martinsburg, WV.
She is preceded in death by her son Joseph Smith and her brother Bobby J. Sexton.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Pastor Tom Fralin will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
