Dorothy Bernice Hoffman

DOROTHY BERNICE HOFFMAN, aged 91, passed away in Frederick, MD after a short illness on Friday, December 8, 2023. 

Born December 2, 1932 in Cumberland, KY, she was the daughter of Golden Allen and Gladys Hampton Allen.  She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel B. Hoffman, formerly of Brentwood, MD. 

 Before retiring, she was employed by CVS Pharmacy in Damascus, MD as a pharmacy clerk.

She leaves behind three children: Robbie Fields Windmueller and her husband, Eric, of Woodbine, MD, Wade Douglas Fields and his wife Laurel of The Villages, FL, and Daniel Hoffman, Jr., of Walkersville, MD.  She has two grandchildren, Rachel Tanner Nagle of Mount Airy, MD and her husband, Craig, and Sarah Tanner of Martinsburg, WV and her husband, Benjamin Dilworth; and one great grandchild, David Dilworth.

Dorothy enjoyed sewing her own clothing, embroidery, camping, country music, and family history.

Viewing will be held  from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Stauffer Funeral Home at 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD. 21771. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Fort Lincoln Cemetery at 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD.
