Dorothy Funkhouser

Dorothy "Dot" M. (Pouncey) Daly-Funkhouser, 99, a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro, Maryland and formerly of Davidsonville, Maryland passed peacefully from this life on Friday, January 20, 2012.
Born on January 21, 1912, in Moreland, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Rosa L. (Hindsman) Pouncey. Her first husband, Robert L. Daly preceded her in death in 1966. Her second husband, Robert E. Funkhouser also preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary in Davidsonville, Maryland.
In her spare time, Dot enjoyed playing pinochle and lawn bowling.
Dot is survived by a daughter, Marsha L. Politz of Frederick, Maryland; three granddaughters; one grandson; seven great-grandsons and three great-grandaughters. She is also survived by a sister, Olga Waite of Roanoke, Virginia.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
