Dorothy Cullen

April 29, 1929 — June 20, 2015

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Cullen, 86, of Brunswick died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family following a three month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond Franklin Cullen, who died on May 19, 1992.

Born April 29, 1929 in Culpeper, Va, she was the daughter of the late James Harrison and Laura Mary (Jenkins) Sisk.

Mrs. Cullen was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking and baking, especially her "cinnamon things" and no-bake cookies. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Brunswick Eagles, where she was an avid Bingo player on Wednesday evenings. Also, she was active in the Brunswick Senior Citizens.

She is survived by three children, Raymond "Sam" Cullen and wife, Ann, of Hagerstown; Michael Cullen and wife, Tanna, of Galesburg, IL; and Debbie Cooper and husband, Brian, of Knoxville; nine grandchildren, Chris Cullen, Paul Cullen, Dana Wright, Josh Cullen, Timothy Cullen, Rachel Cullen, Rebecca Cullen, Phil Cooper and Sarah Harper; four great-grandchildren, Kursten Cullen, Mackenzie Cullen, Callan Harper and Olivia Mercer; two sisters, and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cullen was predeceased by several siblings.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Interment will follow in Brownsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
