Mrs. Dorothy Mae Browning, 91, of Mount Airy, MD passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at Lorien of Mt. Airy, MD. Born February 9, 1922 in Damascus, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clyta B. and Joseph Leslie Woodfield. She was a member of Calvary (Mt. Airy) United Methodist Church. Her husband, C. Robert Browning preceded her in death on April 16, 2004. Mrs. Browning was a graduate of Strayer Secretarial College in Washington, D.C. She is survived by 4 children, Barbara Runkles, Ruth Ann Benson, Robert E. Browning, and Joseph L. Browning; brother J. Vincent Woodfield; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; several cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Browning and one brother, J. Willard Woodfield. The family invites all who can attend a graveside service on Friday, July 5, 2013, 11 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. Rev. Dr. Steve Larsen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Calvary United Methodist Church of Mt. Airy, 403 South Main Street, Mt.
