Dorothy Arrington

Dorothy Mae Arrington, 83, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at her residence in Mt. Airy, MD. Born on March 21, 1935 in Frederick County, MD.
She was the daughter of the late James William Moxley and Mary Anna Belle Scheel Moxley.
She was the wife of Daniel Richard Arrington Jr., her husband of 65 years.
Dorothy was a member of Marvin Chapel UMC. She and her husband were dairy farmers on Plain Four Farm until retirement. Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved gardening and feeding her family with the produce she grew. She took on the raising of the newborn calves and spent many hours feeding and caring for them. She enjoyed listening to music and often accompanied her husband to blue grass concerts. Dorothy was kind and generous and always put others before herself.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sister Hilda McPherson, and children, Richard and wife Lenora, George and wife, Janelle, Mark and wife, Shari, and MaryKay Garver and husband, Dyke; 12 grand children and 8 great grand children as well as many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 18, at Marvin Chapel UMC, 5101 Woodville Rd. in Mt. Airy, MD. Pastor Brian Remsch will officiate. Interment will be at Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Following the interment, please join the family for a luncheon and sharing of memories at the New Beginning Nazarene Church, 12350 Jesse Smith Road Mount Airy, MD 21771. Memorial donations may be made to Marvin Chapel UMC.
