Doris May Engle Green

Mrs. Doris May Engle Green, 80, of Walkersville, MD., died Monday, January 15, 2007 at Montgomery General Hospital, Olney, MD. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Green who died in 1987.
Born April 18, 1926 in Frederick, MD., she was the daughter of the late Lewis Buck and Margaret Houff Engle.

Mrs. Engle was a member of the United Church of Christ, the American Legion Post #168 Ladies Auxiliary, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Frederick, and the Junior Fire Co. #2 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, knitting and loved taking care of her cats. She was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1943. In earlier years Mrs. Green was employed as a draftsman for Frederick Iron and Steel and retired from Sharpe's Florist as a clerk after 42 years of employment.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Green and wife Terri of Walkersville; her granddaughter, Jennifer Green of FL.; and her special friends, Janet Cline and Geraldine Stitely.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville on Wednesday, January 17, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00- 9:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, on Thursday, January 18, 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Marilyn Washburn officiating. Interment Mt Olivet Cemetery.
