Doris M. Geisbert, 70 of Urbana, Maryland passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of R. Hood Geisbert III. She was born January 19, 1938 in Walkersville. MD and was the daughter of the late Bernard W. and Helen Stup Warrenfeltz.

She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Urbana. She was very active in the church where she played the piano, taught Sunday School and held many offices.

Doris was a 1956 graduate of Frederick High where she was active in the Reunion Committee. She then graduated from the Washington School of Secretaries and was a past secretary of the Frederick County Commissioners.

She was an employee and corporate officer of the family business Knott & Geisbert Inc. in Urbana and was also a past secretary of Central Maryland Farm Equipment Dealers Association.

Doris was the coordinator for the Frederick County Umpires Association for over 20 years and was honored as the Woman of the Year from the Maryland Amateur Baseball Association.

In addition to her loving husband she is survived by her two sons, Scott Hood Geisbert and Dara of Ijamsville, MD and Gerald Hamilton Geisbert and wife Terry of Ijamsville, four grandchildren, Scott Hood Geisbert, Jr, James Brian Geisbert, Steven Hamilton Geisbert and wife Tiffany and Carrie Lynn Geisbert, one brother, Bernard 'Lefty' Warrenfeltz and wife Mary, three sisters, Bettie Phillips and husband Dale, Linda Rhodes and Connie Reese and husband Carroll.

She will also be remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friends.

Visitation: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 AM with Rev. John Dean officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
