Doris G. Stang

Mrs. Doris G. Stang, 88 of Mt. Airy, died on Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Lorien Life Center, Mt. Airy. She was the wife of the late John F. Stang, Sr., who died in 1971.
Born on July 27, 1920 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Glenn and Pearl Stang. Doris worked in the Bakery Dept. at the A&P Grocery Store in Aspen Hill, retiring in the 1980's after 9 years service. She was a member of Glenmont United Methodist Church in Wheaton being especially involved with their Bazaars.
Surviving are 4 children: John Stang, Jr and wife Annette of Monrovia, Timothy Stang and wife Karen of Glenelg, Jacqueline Ann Wheelock and husband of West Palm Beach, FL and Carol Nowland and husband Aubrey of Germantown; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Leroy Glenn and wife Ginny of Everett, PA and Robert Glenn and wife Sally of Laurel; 2 sisters: Ruth Goodman of Annapolis and the late Margaret Saunders.

Services: Graveside services and interment will take place 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 13, at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville with Rev. David R. Bare officiating.
