Doris Madeline Russell, 97, of Frederick, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Dove Hospice House in Westminster,MD
Born on July 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the lateThomas E Crowell and Alma (Jenkins ) Crowell.
She was a member of the Mt Carmel United Methodist Church, Frederick.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace H. Russell ; brother, Thomas Edward Crowell Jr ; sisters, Evelyn Pearson, Isabelle Horton, and Bernice Creed.
She is survived by daughter, Patricia Brill (George); son, Ralph Russell ( Marie); grandchildren, Lori Kroll, Chris Russell, Russ Brill, Colleen Samuda, Jeff Russell, and Bobby Russell; great-grandchildren, Stacie Bock, Victoria Kroll, Jordan Brill, Nicholas Kroll, Patrick Samuda, Lucien Russell, Riley Samuda, and Madeline Russell; great-great grandson, Elijah Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 3pm-5pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Mt. Carmel UM Church, 9411 Baltimore Road, Frederick, MD and one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 10am-11am at Mt. Carmel U M Church.
A funeral service will take place at 11am on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Mt. Carmel UM Church, 9411 Baltimore Road, Frederick, MD . Pastor Jenny Smith will officiate. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
The family would like to thank Country Meadows and Carroll Hospice for their care of Doris over the last few years.
