Doris Velma Miner Renner, age 88, of Thomas Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at her home.
Born May 25, 1920 in Leitersburg, MD, Doris was a daughter of the late Allen F. and Mabel P. Shank Miner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Raymond Richard Renner, on Jan. 14, 1994.
Doris had owned and operated both a Daycare and a Foster Home for 30 years.
She was a member of Sharpsburg Bible Church.
Doris is survived by one daughter, Loretta D. Mauck and husband Timothy of Hagerstown; three sons, Richard F. Renner and wife Shelva, and Rev. Gene W. Renner and wife Erma, all of Hagerstown, and James E. Renner of Greencastle, PA; one sister, Hope A. Thomas of Greencastle; one aunt and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Allen M. Renner; and two brothers, Harold J. Miner and Aubrey F. Miner.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday at Sharpsburg Bible Church. The Rev. Robert Fitz will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
