Doris Evelyn Reeder, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., passed from her life on Saturday, November 12th, 2016, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.

Born September 29th, 1926, in Boonsboro, Md. She was the only child of the late Luther Dewey and Mamie (Smith) Warrenfeltz.

She was a member of the graduating Class of 1945 from Boonsboro High School.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown. She was a proud member of the Clopper Michael American Legion Post #10 Auxiliary Unit. A chartered member & past President of Amvets Auxiliary Post #10, Hagerstown. She also served as a past President of the Department of Maryland Amvets Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Edwin Reeder, of 70 years.

While her passing brings us deep sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that she was extremely loved. She loved her family; her dear and close personal friends that held a special bond in her heart. To many she even considered extended family.

She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by three children: daughter, Sharon Mattingly of Hagerstown; sons, Larry Reeder of Hagerstown, and Allen Reeder of Sharpsburg, Md.; five grandchildren, Crystel Mattingly of Hagerstown, Brian Mattingly of Hagerstown, Amanda Mattingly of Hagerstown, Holly Mattingly of Hagerstown and Joshua Reeder of Sharpsburg, Md.; along with six great-granddaughters and five great-grandsons.

There will be no viewing upon her wishes.

A private graveside service will be held at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Md. The Rev. Gregory Shook will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, Md 21740.
