Doris Reeder

Doris Lee Fox Reeder, 86, of Cumming, Georgia died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 28, 2017 at her home. Doris was a wonderful wife to the late Harry Sherman Reeder and a loving mother to her daughter, Teresa Lynn Reeder Parker.

Doris was born November 27, 1930 in Winding Gulf, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Lillie C. (Grimmett) Fox and Ralph E. and Genesee Fox.

Until her retirement, she worked for Western Union Telegraph Company. She also loved to crochet and make crafts. Always putting others needs before her own, Doris was dearly loved by her family and friends.

In addition to her daughter, Teresa, she is survived by son-in-law, John Edward Parker; grandson, John Sherman Parker and twin granddaughters, Julie Lynn Parker and Jamie Lee Parker all of Georgia; many nieces and nephews; and her brother, Ralph Fox, Jr. and his wife, Maggie, of Beckley, West Virginia.

In addition to her husband, Harry Sherman Reeder, Doris was preceded in death by brothers, John E. Fox, Billy G. Fox, Harold Fox and Wayne Fox; and sisters Bessie Fox Smith and Betty Jo Fox Eichelberger.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Boonsboro Cemetery. Her daughter, Teresa, will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are: Glenn H. Reeder, Glenn S. Reeder, Chris and Selena Doyle, Todd Moore and Bradee Moore.
