Doris Harding
June 9, 1952 — July 21, 2017
Doris Jean Harding, 65, of Brunswick, MD passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Luther Harding for 44 years.
Born June 9, 1952 in Brunswick, MD to the late James W., Sr. and Marjorie (Cooper) Hoopengardner.
Doris worked for N.I.H., Bethesda for over 30 years. Doris enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite activities included going to farmer's markets, growing a garden with her husband and sister and traveling to the beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Holidays were a very special time for Doris because they were filled with love and family.
She is survived by her children Heather Flickinger of Hagerstown, MD and Tanya Payne of Brunswick, MD; grandchildren Courtney, Kyle and Tyler Flickinger and Madison Payne; brother Thomas E. Hoopengardner and wife Christine of Frederick; two sisters Robin Fowler of Frederick and Teresa MacDonald and husband Kevin of Frederick and numerous nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her siblings James W. Hoopengardner, Jr., Robert L. Hoopengardner, Paul L. Hoopengardner and her nephew Thomas E. Hoopengardner, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 11AM. Pastor Katie Bishop will officiate.
Interment will follow at Park Heights Cemetery.
