Doris Brown Coleman, 92, of Orlando, FL passed away at her summer residence in Sabillasville, MD on August 22, 2021.
Doris was born March 10, 1929 in Waynesboro, PA. After finishing school, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, but spent most of her years as a loving homemaker. Whether she was caring for patients or her family, she touched many lives through her natural caregiving spirit.
Doris married Edward Bowman Coleman on July 31, 1949 and was a devoted wife of 72 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as well as a friend to many. During the summers she loved spending time with her family while watching the hummingbirds on their porch. She loved the Lord and looked forward to church every Sunday, even when her health made getting there difficult.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Arthur Brown; mother, Lillie Mae Brown; brother, Robert Lewis Brown; and grandson, Joseph Phillip Vinton.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Coleman; children, Denise Adams (Mark Adams), Donna Vinton Abell (Richard Abell), and Darlene Gimbel (Robert Gimbel); grandchildren Amanda Abell (Ken Keesee), Sarah Adams, Rachel Gimbel, and Grace Gimbel; and great-grandchildren, Donovan Vinton, Jayden Vinton, and Carter Keesee.
