Doris was a graduate of Walkersville high school class of 1957. She worked for Highs dairy stores, McCrory’s and D E Jones and was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walkersville. Doris adored being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was important. Asides from family, she loved bingo, especially if she won; duckpin bowling, carnivals, the Frederick fair, search a word puzzles, Danielle Steele, and Elvis Presley. She loved to travel as long as it was by car and a wheelchair was handy, but more than anything family was the most important aspect of her life. She will be remembered for her loving heart. We will always remember her standing by the window to wave goodbye, always wanting us to let her know when we got to where we were going. She will be missed by all she knew and whose lives and hearts that she touched.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Walk), 40 Fulton Avenue in Walkersville, MD.
