Donna Kay Lang

January 7, 1954 — October 12, 2009

Mrs. Donna Kay Lang, 55, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009. She was the loving wife of Ray Lang.

Born on January 7, 1954 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Helen and the late Robert Reichard.

Donna was an amazing person, spending devoted time with family and friends. Her hobbies included reading, collecting Boyds Bears, crocheting, and selling Avon. She loved the sun, enjoyed being on the boat as well as traveling to tropical locations, but also enjoyed visiting frigid Minnesota. She was the Washington Redskins' #1 fan, never missing a game whether on TV, radio, or at the stadium. She never missed a birthday and loved the time of year to send everyone greeting cards. She was dedicated to her job of 37 years at the Department of Energy in Germantown, Maryland. She always looked forward to the end of the work week when she would spend time with friends on Friday evenings.

Along with her beloved husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Pestka and husband Andrew, and Krystal Sier; two step-children, Mandy Lien and husband Jeff of Minnesota, and Darin Lang; one granddaughter on the way, Payton Kay; two step-grandchildren, Hannah and Tyson; two sisters, Terry Hodge and husband Larry of Westminster, and Patricia Kessinger and husband Bill of Indiana; five nieces and nephews; and many other dear extended family members including her "kids" Cassie and Mickey, toy poodles.

Services: Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 16, at the funeral home.
