Donna M. Covington, 49, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, at her home.
Born on September 27, 1965, she is the daughter of Dian (Dillon) Covington of Thurmont and the late James W. Covington, Sr.
Donna graduated from Harding Christian Academy of Memphis, Tennessee.
For many years she worked for Browning Pools and Spas in Frederick, Maryland, where she was a store manager.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend to all and will be fondly remembered as a selfless woman who never met a stranger. She enjoyed horseback riding and training Tennessee Walkers.
In addition to her mother, Donna is survived by her daughter, Kathleen"Katie" Dubs of Thurmont; her son, Michael Dubs of Thurmont; her sister, Laura Ellen Covington of Owings Mills, Maryland; her two brothers, James Covington, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Memphis, Tennessee and Robert Covington and his wife, Sandi of Aurora, Colorado; and her canine companion, Havoc, whom she took great pride in loving and caring for. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia (Covington) Wills; and her canine companion, Bear.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2014 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, Maryland 21788. Rev. Timothy May will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will be held privately.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home in Thurmont.
