Mr. Don Curtis Mitchell, Jr., 62, of Ijamsville died on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Linda L. Coleman Mitchell, his wife of 39 years.
Born on May 5, 1944, in Confluence, PA, he was the son of the late Don Curtis and Mary Catherine Burnworth Mitchell. He had worked in the building industry and at one time for Burt Anderson.
Mr. Mitchell served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, AMVETS Post 2 in Frederick and American Legion Post 191 in Mt. Airy. He was also a member of Frederick Moose Lodge #371 and the NRA. Don enjoyed building street rods and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Dayna Kasten and husband Edward of Falling Waters, WV; 2 grandchildren: Tyler Kasten and Ryan Kasten; 2 sisters: Debbie Hamburger and husband Donald of Darnestown and Carol Wells of Walkersville as well as special nieces and nephews: Dean Thews of Frederick, Steve Thews of Hagerstown and Dana Witt of New Market.

Services:
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, March 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be private.
