Donata Caputo

Mrs. Donata L Caputo, 87, of Frederick died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Frances X. Caputo, who predeceased her in 2002.

Born August 9, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Adeline Mauro.

In earlier years, she worked as an office administrator. She was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Caputo is survived by three children, Nick Caputo of Williamsburg, VA, Bill Caputo and wife, Kasia, of Woodsboro, and Rachel Caputo of Frederick; six grandchildren, Frank Caputo, Jeanette Trent, Bill Caputo, Jason Frayler, Michael Frayler and Amanda Hillman; one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Trent; a sister, Andrea Mormino of Long Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Candelieri.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a prayer service will begin at 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11 from St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd., Walkersville with Msgr. Richard Murphy officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
