Donald "Donny" Minnick, Jr.

Donald "Donny" Lee Minnick, Jr. 47, of Brunswick, MD passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Selena "Nikki" Minnick.

Born September 23, 1967 in Frederick, MD he was the son of Donald Lee Minnick Sr. and Virginia Ann Howard Minnick of Brunswick, Maryland.

Donny was a 1985 graduate of Brunswick High in Brunswick, Maryland.

Donny worked as a train engineer for over twenty years with Bombardier and MARC.Donny was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. Donny was a member of the Mountain Top Hunting Club and the Beachwood Hunting Club. Donny was also a gifted woodworker and mechanic. He enjoyed an eclectic mix of music and played the mandolin which he was often caught playing and singing to his wife Nikki.

Donny also served as the Secretary Treasurer of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and for Trainmen for over twenty years.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children Colton and Brayden Minnick both of KY and his step children Korye Brewster of PA Kourtney Brewster of MD, KC Brewster of WV and Kelsey Brewster of MD and a beloved granddaughter Aiyana Francesca Aurora Riemer "Rory"; brothers Mark Minnick and wife Shannon of Brunswick, MD and Brad Minnick and wife Cheryl of Sharpsburg MD; nieces and nephews Anthony, Brad, Paige, Haleigh and Jordon Minnick; in-laws Bill and Stephanie Armacost of Great Falls, VA and Jerry and Sonia Jennings of Coolville, OH and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and one great-niece.

He is preceded in death by Robert Minnick, William Howard and Isabelle Howard Fauble.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM, where a service will be held Friday, June 5 at 11AM.

Interment will be private.
