Donald Norman Swan, age 72, of Germantown, MD passed away on February 18, 2020 from complications of lung cancer. He was in the comfort of his own home at the time of his passing.
Donald was born on June 9, 1947 to Norman Hampton and Rita (Jefferson) of Washington, DC. He was their only child. Donald spent a few of his younger years in the United States Navy Reserve, before moving on to a career as an electrical and computer engineer. Donald enjoyed collecting firearms, drinking a cold beer at the beach, and spending time with his grandkids. He will be remembered for Jimmy Buffett dance parties with his daughters, his plethora of gidgy gadgets, the immaculate condition he kept each of his Chevy’s in, and his love of technology.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Rita. He is survived by his eldest daughter Amanda (Rich) Brown and their children Richard and Grace of Frederick, MD, as well his younger daughter Teresa (Jerry) Babcock and their children Elias, Gavin, and Wyatt of Gig Harbor, WA.
A small service will be held at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. Please contact the Brown Family for more information.
