Donald Reed, II

Mr. Donald James "DJ" Reed II, 30, of Frederick, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 29, 2014.

Born July 29, 1984 in Fairfax, VA, he was the son of Jim and Nancy Reed of Ijamsville.

DJ was an accomplished athlete who greatly enjoyed baseball and golf. From his earlier years playing Little League in Rockville, to his baseball career at St. John's College High School and finally his college years at Towson University, baseball was an important part of DJ's life. He received his bachelor's degree from Towson in Sports Management and was currently pursuing his masters in Computer Software Engineering from UMUC.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Donald James Reed, and Mary and James Moeller; his aunts and uncles, Robert Reed (Jackie), John Reed (Kathy), Laura Dollarhide (Mike), William Moeller (Sherry), Rosemary Holsinger (Greg), Carolyn Martin (Todd), Susan Denny (Shawn), and Janice McRoy; and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Mary Jean Reed.

DJ was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville.

Interment will be private.
