Donald T. Nones, 80, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Vindobona Nursing Home in Frederick, Maryland, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Born on June 13, 1934, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Hiram and Virginia (Lowman) Nones.
Donald was proud to be an American and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, being Honorably Discharged in 1954.
He enjoyed attending Wings of Freedoms Airshows. He also loved being a grandfather and took great pride in his three grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Baker and husband, Kris, of Middletown; and his three grandchildren, Joshua Lawson of Frederick, and Brooks and Alaina Baker, both of Middletown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Doris Knight; and brother, Walter Nones.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
