Mr. Donald “Dick” E. Myers, 70 of Knoxville, Maryland passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Shirley Myers. They were married for 50 years.
Born September 15, 1941 in Washington County, Maryland he was the son of the late Daniel and Katherine Myers.
Donald retired from the B&O Railroad after 33 years. He was a member of the Brunswick Eagles.
He loved old cars and enjoyed fixing them up. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Tony Stewart fan.
He also enjoyed being a member of the coffee club at the Brunswick McDonald's.
In addition to his loving wife, Shirley he is survived by his four children, Jackie Woods and husband James, Tissie Fauble and husband Dickie, Richard Myers and wife Julie and Karen Feketis and husband Thomas, five grandchildren, Casey Fauble, Alexis Feketis, Daniel Myers, Mark Fauble and Branda Fauble, three step grandchildren, Adarius Fauble, Henna Ducalon and Noah McElhenry, two brothers, Buck Myers and wife Joyce and Denny Myers and wife Rose, three sisters, Betty Longerbeam, Dorothy Shumaker and Ann Breeden and husband Loring, his nieces and nephews, Laura Cole, Andrea Carter, Tracey Hamerslaw, Holly St. Pierre, Heather Fosnaugh, Sandy Dailey, Judy Kline, Lori Maller, Darlene Spangler, Rita Harrison, Wendy Hamilton, Tony Hamilton and Buddy Hamilton and a brother-in-law, Charles (Bucky) Conner.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandee McElhenry, a sister, Patsy Hamilton, a nephew Tommy Thompson and a niece Sherry Breeden,
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Sunday, January 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11:00AM with Rev. Tom. Fralin officiating.
Interment will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.
