Donald Maxey

Mr. Donald Reese Maxey, 84, of Clarksburg, Mount Airy, and most recently Frederick Maryland, passed away on January 27, 2015. Captain Maxey was a Korean War veteran and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Anne, 5 children; Carol Gazunis, Becky Maxey Lorenz, John Maxey, Beth Maxey, Martha Ehlman; and 8 grandchildren. Mr. Maxey was a science teacher in Montgomery County for over 30 years. Impacts of his passionate environmental and community activism will be long standing in the area.
The family will receive friends from 12 -1 PM on Saturday, January 31, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy where the service will begin at 1:00pm.
