Donald W."Buddy" Kaetzel, 82, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at his residence.
Born on October 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Genevieve (Nuice) and Robert Lee Kaetzel.
He was a graduate of Brunswick High School. Donald was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was employed as an iron worker for the Local #5.
Donald had two beloved pugs, Chubbles and Peaches. He loved his family, gardening, wild life and was an antique collector.
He is survived by his daughter, April Baer; granddaughter, Mejel Krenzer and husband, Richie, and grandson Nicholas Baer; great-grandchildren, Cori Mitchell and Canden Krenzer; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mejel W. "Micki" Kaetzel; a son, Donald L. "Sonny" Kaetzel; and a sister, Jeanette Ellis.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. A Masonic Service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 3rd at the funeral home with Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
