Donald Eugene Wagner Sr.,81, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on March 23, 1935 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Richard Clayton and Alice Viola (Rutherford) Wagner.
He attended Hagerstown High School.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army. .
He was employed with Mack Truck.
Donald was a 32nd degree Mason, affiliated with Hagerstown Lodge #217. He was also a member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10, the Williamsport 84 Red Men, and the United Autoworkers union through Mack Truck.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Jean Wagner; children, Donald Wagner, Jr. and wife Virginia of Boonsboro, Robert Wagner of Elkton, Maryland, and Bardona Woods and husband James of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Drawbaugh and granddaughter, Ginnifer Wagner.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713. Interment will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the scheduled services, beginning at 12 P.M. at the funeral home.
