Donald Eugene Davis, 75, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born on October 13, 1934 in Mapleville, Maryland, he was the son of the late William M. Davis and Evelyn May (Cunningham) Davis.
Donald was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was a member of Christian Community Church at St. Paul's in Neersville, Virginia.
Mr. Davis worked at Potomac Dyeing and Printing Company in Hagerstown for twenty years and he also worked at Larstan Industries in Hagerstown for twenty-two years.
He was a league bowler at Turner's Enterprises in Halfway and was a past member of the Boonsboro Band Boosters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doris A. (Netz) Davis; two sons, Terry L. Davis and his wife, Theresa, of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Douglas S. Davis and his wife, Tina, of Hagerstown, Maryland; one sister, Beverly Lapole of Funkstown, Maryland. He is also survived by three granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Donald was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Kamryn LeAna Booth.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Roland England will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
Friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the Funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m.
