Donald Coe

Donald Lee Coe, 67, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born on January 25, 1944 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Vincent Spiker and Catherine (Beahm) Coe.

He was a 1962 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

Donald was a lifelong dairy farmer in partnership with his late parents on their family farm in Gapland, Maryland.

He was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau, the Southern States Co-Op, Sire Power, and the Maryland Virginia Milk Producers.  He was formerly a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bakersville.

Donald is survived by his wife, Roxanna K. (Carbaugh) Coe; his son, D. Eugene Coe of Hagerstown; his daughter, Melissa Duckfield of Boonsboro; two sisters, Gloria J. Bragunier of Hagerstown, and K. Lorriane Gloss of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; two brothers, William V. Coe of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and T. Dale Coe of Charlotte, North Carolina; and his three grandchildren, Amber, Alex and Ryan Duckfield.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Jane Line.

A graveside funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, Maryland.  Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
