Donald H. Campbell, 82, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Thursday, October 6th.
Donald Campbell was born in Morgantown, WV on February 22, 1934. He was married to Patricia Campbell for 33 years.
Don worked as a teacher in Frederick County for 29 years. He was actively involved in bringing music to the community, singing in the Catoctones, directing the Sweet Adelines and was a Plank Member in bringing the Baltimore Symphony to Frederick County. He loved amateur baseball and was a faithful fan to the Brunswick Orioles, sitting in the same seat at every home game. He will be particularly remembered by his students at Brunswick High School who always had a story to tell about him.
Don is survived by his wife Patricia Campbell, his son Donald H. Campbell, Jr., his daughter Suzanne Campbell, step-daughter Amy Blanco and husband Allister Blanco, step-son Chris Donahoe and wife Kim Donahoe, and his beloved grandchildren, Kip Eller, Camden Donahoe, Elizabeth Blanco, Lyra Blanco, Alyse Blanco, niece Becky Tama and Nephew Wayne Blainey.
Don is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Orr, father Donald Matthew Campbell, and sister Jane Jeney.
The family of Don Campbell wishes to thank the staff at 3A, Frederick Memorial Hospital, the staff at Frederick Regional Cancer Center, Pastor Harry Cole of Calvary Methodist Church for their incredible support.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11th at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A memorial service with a Masonic service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry C. Cole officiating.
Interment will be private.
