Mr. Donald Richard Butler, Sr. 79 of Frederick passed away on Wednesday, December 1
st
, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Betty Jean Butler.
Born June 15, 1931 in Frederick he was the son of the late Harvey and Catherine Butler.
Mr. Butler was owner and operator of Butler Tire. He had previously works at rice Tire for 43 years.
He graduated from Frederick High School in 1948. He was a member if the AMVETS Post 2, and the American Legion in Woodsboro.
He enjoyed hunting fishing and being in the outdoors.
In addition to his loving wife Betty, he is survived by six children, a daughter, Juanita Pard and husband Dave of New Market, a son, William Keeney and wife Jennifer of Rocky Ridge, a son, Jeff Keeney and wife Onna of Walkersville, a son Donald Butler, Jr. and wife Roxanne of Frederick, a son Daniel Butler and wife Donna of Woodsboro and a daughter, Deborah D’Allura and husband Carl of Hagerstown, 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Cowen, his two brothers, Gene and Harvey Butler and a sister, Alberta Baker.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, December 3 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 4

at 11:00AM with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
