It is with shattered hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Dominic Michael Valenti, aged 27, on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. While his life was cut far too short, he was a beloved son, brother, and friend, and will be lovingly remembered for his compassion, bravery, and unfailing courage. His infectious smile, humor, and genuine nature made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Born on June 5th, 1997 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dominic grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and dreams of a future full of promise. He had several passions including sports, art, fitness, cooking, the outdoors, and music. He loved his Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Eagles. If he wasn’t working out, he was stringing notes and chords together on a keyboard or guitar, drawing his sketches, or making wonderful dishes in the kitchen. He enjoyed playing recreational soccer and hockey at Frederick High School. Dominic dreamed of having a future consisting of a wife, children, and ministry of faith. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was unapologetically passionate about the people he loved and the faith he shared.
Despite the challenges and battles he fought in life; Dominic never lost his humanity. He was a fighter who never gave up, no matter how hard the road became. He never stopped hoping and believing in a better future for himself and his family. In our grief, we also honor the man he was-the one who always tried, always cared and never stopped seeking a way to heal.
Dominic is survived by his father, Gino Valenti; his mother, Gloria Valenti; his brothers, Dustin Terry, David Valenti, and Devin Valenti; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as friends who will forever remember him for his heart. His memory will live on in the love shared by those who were fortunate to know him.
We take comfort in knowing that Dominic is now free, at peace, and in the presence of his Savior. Dom will be missed more than words can say. Rest in peace, Dominic. Forever in our hearts. We love you always.
