Mrs. Dolores Virginia Beach, 77, of Frederick , died on Wednesday August 3, 2011 , at Somerford Place , Frederick . She was the wife of the late David Lawson Beach who died in 2009.
Born on July 27, 1934 in Frederick she was the daughter of Lillian Long Barthlow of Frederick and the late Grayson Barthlow.
She enjoyed baking and gardening. She was a member of the Woodsboro Dance Club, the Homemaker Club and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , Frederick .
Also surviving in addition to her mother are her four children; Judi L. Bradley and husband Jeff of Frederick, Lorraine B. Roberts and husband Dave of Frederick, David M. Beach and wife Lori of Myersville and Michael E. Beach of Winchester, VA. Grandchildren, Jeffrey Bradley and wife April and Bethany Scott and husband Brian, Jeremy Roberts, Michelle McGaha and husband Jerry, Charlotte Schuebel and Sophie and Rachel Braunstein. Nine great grandchildren. Brothers, Wayne Barthlow of Clemmons, NC, Richard Barthlow of Rohrersville and Rodger Barthlow of Union Bridge. Sisters, Sandy Kelly of Silver Spring and Elaine Summers of Frederick . She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Grayson Barthlow and a sister, Helen Droneburg.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Friday August 5, 2011 at the Stauffer Funeral Homes. P. A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick , where services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday August 6, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens , Frederick .
