Dianne Dameron Karska, 85, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 6:23 PM, surrounded by her loving family. She joined the love of her life, Ernest Karska, her husband of 66 years, on a beach in heaven.
Born on April 16, 1939, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Richard Walker Dameron and Mary Augustine King.
Dianne will be remembered for her sense of humor, sass, loving tenderness, welcoming heart, and the deep impression she left on all who met her. Also known as "Gram", she was the heart of her family, beloved in her community, and a heck of a good cook! Although she has left her loved ones with many fond memories to be grateful for, the world will never be as bright a place without her.
Carrying on her legacy of love and humor are her son, David Karska and wife Cathy, daughter, Debbie Bermudez and husband Manny, grandchildren Cheri Abramson and husband Eric, Sean McHugh and wife Alaina, Dennis McHugh, 5 great grandchildren, and her brother Richard Dameron.
To celebrate Dianne's full and well-lived life, a gathering of friends and family will be held in her old stomping grounds of Four Corners, Silver Spring in May. Please contact the family if you are interested in attending.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Dianne's legacy, contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America. Although she battled this disease at the end of her life, her true spirit never left her.
