Dianne Bowers
February 26, 1948 — October 17, 2015
Mrs. Dianne R. Bowers, 67, of Jefferson, MD passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Bowers.
Born February 26, 1948 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late James N. and Clara E. Leopold Kinna.
Dianne worked as a bookkeeper for Bowers Welding prior to her retirement. She was a member of Petersville Lutheran Chapel, where she served as the President of the church council. Dianne was also past president of the Merryland Tract Homemakers.
She is survived by her sons Ken Bowers, Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Boonsboro and Kelly Bowers and wife Robin of Jefferson;grandchildren Gabrielle, Schuyler, Aidan and Lander, Amber Phillips and Kyle James; great-grandchildren Kyle James, Jr. and Khloe James; sister Joyce Shelmet of PA; niece Jessica Shelmet. She will be greatly missed by her dog Sam. She will also be remembered by her special friend Sherri Duvall and her caregiver Nancy Manshel.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 11AM. Rev. Tim May and Rev. Darrell Layman will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery.
