Mrs. Diane Spring-Myers, 55, of Frederick, MD., went to be with her Lord and her dad, Friday, April 29, 2011. She was the wife of Keith A. Myers, her husband of 5 years.
Born December 13, 1955 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Annalee Rollison Spring of Lime Kiln and the late James D. Spring.
Diane was a 1973 graduate of Frederick H.S. She had attended Washington Square United Methodist Church in Hagerstown. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, her cats Rikki and Lucy, fishing and going to auctions. She was an avid collector of Wizard of Oz and I Love Lucy memorabilia.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Bryon Lockard of Baltimore, daughter Carrie Strobel of Frederick, grandchildren Colin Lockard, Tyler James Strobel and Landen Strobel, sisters Carolyn Hood-Baldwin and husband Roger of Frederick, and Janice Stockman and husband Gary of Brunswick, and a brother, Gary Spring of Myck, NC. She is also survived by her former husband Charles “Bill” Lockard, Jr, former daughter-in-law Tonya Warner-Cromwell, former sister-in-law Sharon Spring, former son-in-law Scott Strobel, stepdaughter Amber Myers, stepson Travis Myers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She will also be remembered by her friend Chris Pearse.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Tuesday, May 3, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m., where services will be held Wednesday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Philip Graves officiating.
Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Jefferson, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Frederick Humane Society, the Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Co. #24 or to the Faith Baptist Church in Petersville, MD.
