Dennis M. "Denny" Goetz, 53, of Fairfield, Montana, a heavy equipment operator, died on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at his residence of cancer.
Denny lost his courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at his home on Oct 2, 2008, surrounded by his loving friends and family. He was born May 27, 1955, in Frederick, Maryland, and attended Linganore High School in Frederick. As a young boy, he worked for many years on local farms.
He and his loving wife, Debbie, were married on March 9th, 2002, and spent 20 wonderful years enjoying their life together.
He spent ten years with Lehigh Cement in Union Bridge, MD, and has been a heavy equipment operator for the last 23 years. He was currently employed with Dave Dickman Excavating in Great Falls, MT.
Denny loved NASCAR races, farm auctions, his donkeys (Poker Jack, Biscuit and Bandit), old Chevy trucks, tinkering in his workshop, traveling on cruises with friends, but most of all, time spent on his Farmall tractor. He loved working and spending time with his family and was looking forward to his first grandchild. He was a wonderful and very supportive Dad, but most of all a best friend.
Denny was always the life of every gathering and brought laughter to every occasion. He cherished the many friendships he had forged from state to state. He was known to all who met him for his great work ethic and unique sense of humor.
Our hearts are broken. There will never be another person like Denny that can fill the void in our hearts. He will be greatly missed by everyone he loved and touched throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Goetz and two stepdaughters Misty Myers, Parkville, MD and Dana Gernand, Harris, MN; his extended children, Katryna Cieslicki, Jesse Nickos, and Katie Wilson; his mother, Dorothy Tyeryar; his three sisters, Sandy (Martin) Hargett, Lori (Tony) Rippeon, and Crystal Tyeryar; his brother, Terry (Pat) Goetz, all of Frederick, MD, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
