Dennis I. Wilhide, 64, a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro and formerly of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village.
Born on August 24, 1947, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Irene R. (Summers) of Hagerstown and the late Timothy E. Wilhide.
He was a member of Mt.Vernon Reformed United Church of Christ in Keedysville.
Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
Upon graduation from high school, Dennis worked as a tractor trailer driver for various trucking companies in the tri-state area for thirty years. Most recently, Dennis drove a tractor trailer for Expedited Services Incorporated of Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, Dennis is survived by a brother, Wayne D. Wilhide of Hagerstown; two nieces, Carol and her husband Gabriel Stride and Stacy and Joshua Shanholtz all of Hagerstown; and one nephew, Timothy Wilhide, also of Hagerstown.
In addition to his father, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Betty K. Wilhide.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
