Delphine Koval

Delphine T. Koval, 95, currently of Frederick, MD, passed from this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Del was the wife of the late John J. Koval, who predeceased her in 2000. Born on October 3, 1929 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of Wencelslaus F. Piwonski and Sylvia E. Swierczewski. She retired from Verizon (formerly C&P Telephone Co.) after 30 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed making beautiful handmade cards, playing bingo, and relaxing by the water at her weekend home.

Del is survived by her daughters: Holly K. Spaulding (Jeff), Jondelle K. Truitt (Ralph) and Kelly K. Dorman; three grandchildren: Tiffany S. Wrona (Neil), Morgan L. Spaulding, and Nicholas J. Dorman; and one great-granddaughter, Zoë P. Wrona.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard N. Piwonski and Gordon F. Piwonski, and her son, Kim J. Koval.

Services and interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
