Mrs. Delores Elaine (Conner) Brawner, 81, of Brunswick, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. A mother and grandmother of great strength and kindness will be missed by many. Mrs. Brawner was the wife of the late Dennis Eugene Brawner.
Born November 29, 1934 in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Marie Conner. Mrs. Brawner was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren and was employed for several years at Sagner’s in Frederick.
She is survived by daughter Vicki S. Himes and husband David of Knoxville; son Brian E. Brawner and wife Carol of Frederick; and, daughter Tami E. Nick and husband David of Brunswick. Also surviving Mrs. Brawner is her sister Patsy Reynolds of Brunswick; four devoted grandchildren, Amy (Himes) Folden and husband Bill, Chaz Himes, Ashley (Nick) Wilson and husband Nate, and Alexis Nick; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brawner is preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Kevin Brawner and brother Douglas Conner.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 17 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 18 at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, with Pastor Alan Smith officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.
