Della Louise (Griffith) Long , 87, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Meritus Health Care Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. Her husband, Paul E. Long, Sr., passed away January 10, 2003.
Born on June 3, 1929, in Keedysville, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Anna May (Springer) Griffith.
Della was a homemaker.
She is survived by daughter, Bernice L. Lloyd of Keedysville and her son, Roger Long and wife, Pamela of Boonsboro; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Flook and Helen Easterday both of Washington County; and several nieces and nephews.
Della was preceded in death by her son, Paul E. Long, Jr. and wife, Sharon; four sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
A Celebration of Della's life journey will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22st, at the funeral home with Rev. Jack C. Payne, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville.
