After a courageous battle of pancreatic cancer Mrs. Deborah Kay Weddle, 59, of Walkersville passed through her family’s arms and into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 during her last few days at the Hospice House in Mt. Airy. Deborah was the wife of Kevin W. Weddle.
Born September 14, 1952 in Frederick County she was the daughter of Patsy Jane Stitely of Walkersville and the late Gerald W. Stitely.
Deborah graduated from Walkersville High, class of 1970. She was the owner and proprietor of Glade Valley Beauty Salon in Walkersville were she dedicated over 35 years of memorable service. She was also an active member for the town of Walkersville and thoroughly enjoyed helping others. Deborah will be truly missed by many.
In addition to her husband Kevin and her mother Patsy she is survived by her sister Carol A. Fyock, and husband Daniel N. Fyock of Woodsboro; niece Kelly S. Fyock and great nephew Ian S. Fyock of Frederick; niece Dana D. Fyock and great niece Hannah M. Clarke and great nephew Nicolas C. Clarke of Woodsboro; niece Michelle L. Clemson and husband Matthew Clemson, great niece Sarah M. Clemson of Adamstown. Close family friends Donald and Mary Crabbs of Frederick.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Saturday, February 11th from 1:00-3:30PM. A Memorial Service celebrating Debbie’s life will then be held at 4:30pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark L. Foucart officiating.
