Mrs. Deborah Pavlik McLaughlin Chesnick, 60, of Frederick, MD passed away due to complications of a stroke on September 1, 2014. Born on February 24, 1954 in Lansford, PA, predeceased by her father, Frank Pavlik, stepmother Louise Pavlik, and beloved aunt, Ann Pavlik. Survived by her husband, Larry Chesnick, son and daughter-in-law, James and Bobbie McLaughlin, stepchildren, Bryan and Erin Chesnick, and Evan and Christy Katz, two grandchildren, Waylon and Hadley McLaughlin, as well as many close family members and friends.
Secretary for Frederick City and a long time server and bartender at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, Debbi effortlessly made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was known to crochet a blanket for every new baby born into her extended circle of friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Saturday, September 6, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to University of Maryland Medical System Foundation. Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home and Stauffer Crematory, Frederick.
